This salsa recipe creates a salsa with a kick, but not too hot for most. Add an additional habenero to kick it up to normal levels.
Ingredients:
- 3 1/2 cups tomatoes (3 roma & 3 red)
- 2/3 cup green peppers
- 1/2 cup green onion
- 3/4 cup hot peppers (make sure to include 1 habanero)
- 2 tbs lime juice
- 1/4 cup basil (2 tsp frozen)
- 2 tbs garlic
- 1 cup cilantro
- 1 tsp ground pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
Directions:
- Finley chop the tomatoes
- Cut the rest of the ingredients into small pieces. Mix everything together and let sit in the fridge for a few hours.
