Ingredients:
- 6 large eggs
- 1 bottle white Karo syrup
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 stick butter (melted)
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 16 oz whole pecan halves
- 2 8in pie crusts, uncooked
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350°
- In a large mixing bowl, gently beat the eggs enough to mix.
- Add Karo syrup, sugar, melted butter, vanilla & salt. Mix on medium till everything is combined but do not froth your eggs.
- Put a pie crust into each pie pan, then line each curst with 8oz of pecan halves.
- Pour the liquid mixture over the pecans, half in each pie crust.
- Cook pies for 50-60 minutes. The pie should be brown and somewhat set up in the middle.
- It will continue to set up as it cools.
Notes:
- Servings = 2 - 8in pies
- Cook the pies on a large cookie sheet in case of spill.
