Brew 42 - Batch 28To celebrate reformation day, a few guys are getting together to enjoy some homebrew and remember Martin Luther's contribution to Christianity. For this, I wanted to create something a little different and unique. What I came up with is the Smokin' Reformation Ale. This ale is a combination of a dark Amber Ale, a Brown Ale and a Scottish Export 80. The malty flavors are the highlight with some slight chocolate, coffee and caramel notes with a slight aroma and finishing taste of smoke that comes from a pound of smoked malt. This is a great beer for a cold night.
